Experiential learning through charitable events is a core tenet of ASK. The ASK families and friends volunteered at the Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) to help sort, pack and load clothing and other items as part of HHRD's on-going relief efforts in Somalia.
The event started at 1pm with salaat and an orientation video that outlined the mission of the organization and their relief and development efforts around the world. Following that we got to work and spent couple of hours sorting, organizing and loading the clothing items. We formed teams of 4 and had a great time working together.
